Joining the Global Upperroom
We are getting ready for the next 10 Days in New England.
What is 10 Days? It's a time in September where the Global Church comes together to pursue the Lord in unity through fasting, prayer and repentance for revival in the churches, cities and nation. Its 10 Days of Repentance that starts on September 15 (Rosh Hashanah) and ends after nightfall on September 25 (Yom Kippur).
How I, Kelibeth found out about 10 Days.
I met Jonathan Friz in the summer of 2022 during a Tuesday morning prayer meeting at College Church in Northampton. I was personally coming out of a season of intense prayer and fasting where the Lord was stirring up a desire in me to see an active church like in the book of Acts. And when it came time to share our prayer requests during the meeting, I shared my desire to see a 24/7 prayer space established in our region. Interestingly enough, Jonathan had just arrived from a trip where he visited a 24/7 prayer space in another country with one of his daughters. We didn’t realize it but the Lord had us both on the same page. One of the other prayer members pointed it out. After the meeting, Jonathan and I arranged a time to meet during the week to discuss more. And little did I know that the Lord was answering all the prayers he had given me in the secret place.
When I met with Jonathan and his team that week, he shared with me the house church movement he was a part of along with the 10 Days Global Movement.
And I felt it in my Spirit that the Lord wanted me to be a part of 10 Days. At the time, I was working a full time job at an Elementary School in Amherst, MA and I wasn’t sure how I was going to be a city coordinator at the same time. Nonetheless, I committed to learning behind the scenes the works of 10 Days through the mentorship of Jerry Dubie and Lynda Gigliotti. They, alongside with the pastors in the region have been pioneering the way for 10 Days for years now. (Lynda has moved on to her new kingdom assignment in Colorado Springs, where she is now located.)
It was amazing to partner with them in the Kingdom work and I watched as the Holy Spirit brought everyone together to bring forth the 10 Days 2022 schedule.
In 10 Days 2022, I saw the Lord stir up a regional revival that started in an UpperRoom prayer room at MercyHouse in Amherst, MA. This revival broke out into the local body of Christ, into the city, into the workplace, into a house church and later into the region through 10 Days. And we are still witnessing pockets of revival continue throughout the cities
These are the following locations in New England that were impacted by 10 Days through the partnership of the churches in:
Northampton, Amherst, Springfield, Deerfield, Sunderland, Windham & Swanzey New Hampshire, Goshen, Ashfield, Greenfield, Easthampton, Athol, Hampden.
Thank you, Pastors and Leaders that said yes to hosting 10 Days in various ways last year. What an honor to be a part of a Global Movement!
And it's incredible all the stories and testimonies of what the Lord has done!
Now we are getting ready for 10 Days 2023!
This year 10 Days is from September 15-25th. It ends after nightfall of Yom Kippur on September 25.
On Monday, July 17, 2023 we had our first meeting to plan and discuss the 10 Days schedule. It was a wonderful time together among pastors, leaders and believers of the past 10 Days movements. I was encouraged as we met together to talk, pray and discuss the purpose and schedule for this year. And we covered some of the evening/nights, but still have openings for the following evenings:
Sunday, September 17, 2023
Wednesday, September 20, 2023
Saturday, September 23, 2023
Sunday, September 24, 2023
Monday, September 25, 2023
Please help me spread the Word and continue to encourage others to register their gathering on the 10 Days website.
Lastly, we want to share that we have a regional 24/7 prayer space in Windham, New Hampshire.
